I know everyone's wondering where the hell I've been for the past few weeks. Well I have some good news, and some bad news. The BAD news is that I will not be updating this blog too often from here until May. The GOOD news is that ReachNYC.com will be launching an online magazine! June 3rd is the scheduled release date for the debut! Stay tuned for more info, feel free to e-mail me with any suggestions, questions, comments or if you just want to talk.

State Republicans have threatened to impeach New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, if he does not resign over a report linking him to a prostitution ring. Questions are being raised over whether he could face criminal charges.
"The payments were made over a period of several months in a way that investigators believe was intended to conceal their purpose and source, which could amount to a crime called structuring," punishable by up to five years in prison, the NY Times said.
Man...He did all of this just for a little sexual seduction? Spitzer has embarrassed himself and the Democratic party. The man is currently holed up in his Manhattan home, he needs to put an end to this circus immediately. Wasn't the look on his wife's face at the press conference priceless?...

That's a great first to get out of the way, come on it's 2008. A Black Governor and a Black President? It's been long overdue. More information on this as soon as Spitzer mans up and resigns.

Governor Eliott Spitzer, has been linked to an international prostitution ring, in a bombshell revelation, that has the entire City calling for his resignation.
The Governor released a very brief public statement, in which he apologizes to his wife and family, but more interestingly, Spitzer never took the time to deny the charges. Spitzer, a married father of three, is believed to be 'Client 9' named in a federal indictment last week, as a nymph, who paid $4,400 for a night with a prostitute on February 13th, in Washington D.C. Wow, even I have to admit that this is getting a little out of hand. They're making him out to be some kind of Messiah. I'm one of his biggest supporters, so I'm definitely not hating, but let's put all the propaganda aside and talk about how long is it going to take for me to receive my 'economic stimulus package'!

Hip-Hop mogul, Russell Simmons, is making his anger towards Gov. Spitzer very public. Simmons is teed off about promises the Governor made before getting elected, that have yet to see the light of day.
“Not only will I campaign against him," Simmons said over the phone. "I’m going to campaign for a change in those laws and he is going to have to stand up and explain why he promised the state of New York that he is going to make this change and when he got in office, he pushed it to the side.”
“We know Eliot Spitzer has to be our target," he added.
The law Mr. Simmons is referring to is the Rockefeller Drug Law, which Simmon's think is hurting minorities more than ever with harsh drug sentences for even first time offenders. Simmons has been campaigning to reform the Rockefeller Drug Laws for Years! We were even in attendance at the Reform summit held by Russell Simmons and The Hip-Hop Action Summit Network, a few years back. This is going to get interesting. I know a whole lot of people who are dying to hear the Governor's response. [Source]

Hillary Clinton's camp has come under heavy fire for allegedly darkening Barack Obama's complexion in recent TV ads.
Darkening a person's complexion can give off a more menacing appearance. Those they're allegations, it hurts me to see this. Check out the video below.[Source]

Alternate ending to 'I Am Legend'
This is the first Will Smith flick I ignored, I have not seen it yet. But watching this alternate ending kind of puts it in a nut-shell. Looks weak, sorry Will...there's no saving this movie.

When I posted the contest for the Air Jordan XXIII (23), I thought I would just receive a local buzz, and get a bump in the number of readers, but thanks to Michael Jordan, other blogs, and last but not least, the viewers, ReachNYC.com is one of the fastest growing blogs.
News of the contest spread fast! Viewers from California to Japan tuned in to see what all the fuss was about. As far as viewers are concerned, I couldn't have asked for more. ReachNYC.com literally had the whole world's attention for 4 full days.
Thanks to the following people for supporting reachNYC.com

"We see other towers of the same kind hit by planes. Are they burned? There was a tower, I believe it was in Spain, that burnt for 24 hours. It never collapsed. None of these towers collapsed. And there [in New York], in a few minutes, the whole thing collapsed."
"It [WTC] was a money-sucker because they were finished, it seems to me, by 1973, and to re-cable all that, to bring up-to-date all the technology and everything, it was a lot more expensive, that work, than destroying them,"
Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, is making headlines for comments she made during a French interview. As you can see from the quotes above, she believes 9/11 was an inside job.

According to Cosmopolitan magazine, an Apple store is the best location for women to pick up single men.
"Most guys are natural gadget lovers, and with sales of iPods and MacBooks skyrocketing, more men than ever are stopping by Apple boutiques. The vibe at the stores is conducive to man meeting too: You can check your email among cuties, take a free workshop on anything from Photoshop to podcasting (a great opportunity to strike up a conversation), or just survey the, ahem, good-looking merchandise."
