'Star-Spangled Banner'...in Spanish?
British Producer Adam Kidron has recruited Wyclef Jean, Pitbull, and Puerto Rican singers Carlos Ponce and Olga Tañon to record a Spanish-language version of the U.S. national anthem. What started as an ode to the millions of immigrants who come to the U.S. for better living, has been recieving fierce backlash.
With pro-immigration protests planned around the country for Monday, May 1st, Urban Box Office, the record label headed by Kidron, is urging Hispanic radio stations nationwide to play the track at 7 p.m. EDT, today.
