Today was the day when the black-outs would come to an end. Let there be light! Con Ed told Queens residents...but a few hours later, like Con Ed giveth, Con Ed taketh away, over 12,000 residents are now with out power in Staten Island.

Ending an 8-day power outage in Queens, Officials are hoping to have power up in Staten Island within the day, but that seems like prep talk. Con Ed is also asking Queens residents to conserve power, as the electrical network is still fragile in that area. It seems to be musical chairs with these black-outs, I'll bet my money that Brooklyn's next...



Federal agents uncovered an organization thats smuggled $10 million worth of a highly addictive African-grown drug known as Khat from East Africa into the New York area via Europe. 44 people have been indicted in the largest khat bust in U.S. history. Khat is a plant considered an illegal stimulant, one can chew on it and get high, it's also very addictive.
