An off-duty cop was stabbed in the chest yesterday at a popular Williambsurg diner, Kellogs, late yesterday. Luis DeJesus, was arrested and charged with
assault on an officer, after a group of men who where with him, argued with the group that accompanied the police officer. Heated words were exchanged, resulting in DeJesus allegedly stabbing the unnamed officer in the chest. He is expected to survive.

An unidentified man who was believed to have been hit and killed by a train, was dead before the accident, stated police. Officials also said that the man had been dead for a while, his name was not released.

Police shot and killed a 62-year-old Bronx man who was wielding an ax Saturday. Anatoly Dimitriev was the third man to die during a confrontation with city police in the past three weeks.
