Bill Bernstein will open his latest exhibit today at the Bowery Mission Headquarters. 'About Face, Portraits from The Bowery Mission'.
The exhibit captures what most of us turn away from in the streets, the homeless.
"These are for the most part the unseen people of the city," said Bernstein. "We don't look at them. We don't want to see their faces for whatever reason. We see them on the corner. We walk around them. So I wanted to focus everything on their faces so we could really see what we're not looking at."
About Face is at the Bowery Mission headquarters at Madison Avenue and 31st Street through the end of the year. The exhibit is open to the public. Read More
